No essential oils, no added scent. For guys who wear their own cologne, or who just don't want their beard announcing anything.
It comes in a 2oz squeeze tube. It's basically our balm formula with lanolin and mango butter in place of the cocoa and shea. Same base oils, same coconut oil, same vitamin E. The difference is texture. Balm is butter, this is mayo. It squeezes out and works in without warming it up in your hands first.
Read this part before you buy. Lanolin is about the best thing you can put on coarse or thick hair. It conditions deeper and holds longer than a light oil. It also has a raw smell of its own. On the scented Heavy oils the essential oils knock that smell back, and even then they don't erase it. This one has no essential oils in it, so nothing knocks it back at all. You will smell the lanolin. Most guys quit noticing in a few days. Some never do.
That means this one carries more of a raw note than the regular Tumbleweed oil does. If that sounds like a problem, buy that one instead.
Squeeze out a small dollop and work it through. Start small. You can always add more.
Never used our oils? Start with the regular trial 4-pack, find the scent you want on the lighter base, then come back for the Heavy.

I like heavy beard oil. The mint eucalyptus is great! Tumbleweed, however, did not smell good at all. The Tumbleweed beard balm has no strong smell so I thought why not try the heavy beard oil…. I could not put it on my beard. As soon as I had it on my hands, I could tell that I did not want that smell on my face at all. Maybe the bottle it comes in makes it smell so bad? I don’t know. I’ll definitely stick with the beard balm when it comes to tumbleweed.
Great for work. Can’t use anything with too heavy of a scent. This is perfect.
It makes my beard sparkle in the sun.
But Im still a balm guy .
First, who knows what happened but I thought the unscented heavy oil actually smelled like hay. My wife thought it smelled like plastic. I washed it out after several minutes so I cannot comment on how well it works. I may try a scented version down the road as I am very happy with my Big Thicket oil and balm.
TBC made the return super easy and free as advertised. I just ordered something else I knew I liked. So this is all good!
Don't be afraid to try something with Texas Beard Company - I highly suggest their inexpensive trial sizes!
The smell just wasn't for me but I loved my experience and TBC's solutuon!
I love the heavy Beard oil concept, but sometimes I want to skip the scent. Tumbleweed Heavy Beard Oil addresses this issue with the usual Texas Beard Company's aplomb.
